Freestyle Team community.
I want to thank you for a great season. It's hard to believe that the season is done with 100% of our terrain open. Wednesday I skied untouched pow at MRG with no one there to enjoy it. Conditions look like 50 and Sunny through the weekend, I can't wait!
This Summer we will be hosting trampoline camps at the SHaRC. They will be day camps, and I will send out a notice with the official dates through our facebook page and the blog.
Parents of competing athletes. One of the best ways to support your child (and your pocket book) in this sport, is to become an event official through our sanctioning bodies. the USSA & USASA need officials for scoring, judging, and event safety. These jobs are easy, fun, and can pay well just to watch your child compete. http://www.easternfreestyle.org/officials and http://www.usasa.org/members/officials.html
Scholarships. If you google 'ski' or 'snowboard' with the word 'scholarship,' you will find a lot of sites for competitive athlete scholarships. Here are links for scholarship pages at USSA and USASA http://www.easternfreestyle.org/node/42 http://www.usasa.org/members/scholarships.html Most scholarships are applied for and reviewed in the Summer, so get on it if you want financial help for next season.
Recent Results. The Killington spring Mogul event last weekend, saw varying spring conditions. Sam Greshin & SJ Grundon both got their highest scores ever on Fridays Single event. Sundays Dual event did not go as well, but we made the most of the day by hucking the cliff on Fiddle.
Copper mnt Colorado, for USASA nationals, Bayard Baker and Berkley Stone will be competing for Slopestyle gold on Sunday and Tuesday. So everybody cheer them on, and follow the results at http://usasa.org/events/nationals/2011-nationals.html
